First, you’ll need to go to the Bank Reconciliation section under Cash And Banking.

Then, select Add New for a new Bank Reconciliation.

Next, select the Bank Account (in this case CAP for Capital One), Period Ending, and Bank Statement Date.

Upon clicking the Refresh icon you should see the data populate for Capital One.

You’ll then need to click Save in order for the Import options to appear.

Next, you’ll click the Import Bank Trans button.

In the subsequent pop-up window click Select files. When selecting you’ll need to make sure it’s set to “All Files” since they’re sending us XLS (by default it’s only showing XLSX).

Once selected, click the Import button. This will close the pop-up window and tick the checkbox for the items included in the Excel.

For reference, below is the Excel File I’m importing.

Next, you’ll need to enter the Statement Closing Balance and then click Post. Note that the Reconciliation Error will need to be $0.00 in order to post.

You’ll notice that my Excel File included an item that wasn’t in the system.

You can see these after posting by clicking the View Bank Trans Exceptions button. This will bring up a pop-up to show if there were any items that were in the Excel File but not in the system, in my case the $300.
